Administrative Assistant (Event Planning)

Event planning company is currently hiring an Administrative Assistant. The position is full time Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The company will require overtime including evenings and weekends. The starting pay is up to $18 per hour, depending on experience. The ideal applicant will have several years of administrative experience or a recent college graduate that is highly motivated to make a career in Administrative Support and/or Event Planning. The position is best suited for someone with advanced computer skills, the ability to work with a sense of urgency and is dedicated to advancing their career. You must be highly efficient, organized and enjoy party planning! Individuals who are creative or “crafty” that can bring genuine/new ideas to the table are strongly encouraged to apply. The Administrative Assistant will work directly with the owner of the company. Answer calls or email inquiries from potential or existing customers, schedule appointments and assist with creating event presentations. You must have advanced computer skills. Work closely with vendors, venues, catering crews, etc. The company hosts corporate events, weddings, bat/bar mitzvahs, etc. You will handle calendaring, learn how to negotiate contracts, update website, assist in creating marketing material and identify new venues to offer clientele.
