Legal Secretary – Defense

A nationwide insurance defense law firm is hiring a Legal Secretary in Chicago, IL 60603. This is a permanent; Direct Hire placement. No probationary period with a staffing agency!

The position offers full time hours and a flexible hybrid schedule. A background in Subrogation is strongly preferred.

Insurance Defense Legal Secretary Duties:
Schedule hearings, mediations and depositions.
Calendar deadlines for discovery, trial, etc.
Scan/store all documents to clients electronic case management system
Prepare legal documents for E-filing (state and federal); motions, answers, responses, etc.
Process invoices for subpoenas, document requests, deposition transcripts, etc.
Update/Keep track of case list, trial list and closing of files
Assist litigation paralegal & litigation attorney in administrative projects as needed.

Minimum Requirements
Insurance Defense experience
2+ years of experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant or paralegal
