A software development company is hiring an Accounting Manager in Fort Lauderdale, 33309. This is a permanent position offering full time hours. Pay is approx $95,000.00 + benefits after a short probationary period.

About the position: This is a management position. Experience leading an accounting department or accounting team is required. The Accounting Manager will oversee the Fort Lauderdale office and a small team of accountants (5-10 staff). The position will collaborate with other departments or financial sectors of the company. You will provide oversight of Financial Reporting including bank reconciliations, general ledger adjustments, monthly account reconciliations. This role reports to the VP of finance. Experience working in the following industries is helpful but not required; real estate, title & escrow, property management association, homeowners association HOA, condo association property management, residential or commercial home builders, general contractor accounting, roofing accounting, community association managements CAM, mortgage banking or finance accounting. Experience with Common Interest Realty Accounting [CIRA], HUD or knowledge of U.S. GAAP as it relates to accounting is preferred but not required.
Minimum Requirements
BA Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years accounting experience
Management/Leadership experience
