The ideal applicant will have previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant with billable hours or have obtained a completed Degree in Legal Studies or Paralegal Certificate.
Duties: Responsible for handling all aspects of the billing relationship with a number of clients, including: Learning (client) insurance companies guidelines and requirements for billing. Auditing draft bills for guideline compliance and communicating with timekeepers. Addressing all bill submission issues such as budgets, unapproved rates and timekeepers, incorrect lines of business, etc. Following up on payments or other accounts receivables issues with the client. Assisting with summarizing/consolidating client guidelines and updating billing protocols as well as keeping attorneys, paralegals and secretaries. Extensive customer service as it relates to billing.
Minimum Requirements
1+ year legal experience OR legal certificate
2+ years of billable hour capture or accounting
