There is a strong possibility that the interviewer will ask you at some point if you have any questions. This is the point in which you might be tempted to ask about benefits. It’s also entirely possible that such a question makes you nervous, leaving you with no choice but to blurt out the first thing that pops into you head.
Either way, the results can be damaging. This can send a clear message to the interviewer that the best interests of the company really hold no interest for you whatsoever. You’re really only in it for yourself. This is definitely the kind of message to avoid sending.
